Patients with noticeable hollows under their eyes could benefit from a 15-minute treatment with Restylane, it has been claimed.

Fifty-year-old Kevin, a GP from Gloucester, told the Daily Mail that he had Restylane tear trough treatment (TTT) to address the problem.

"I've always had dark rings around my eyes but an operation last year left me with deep, dark, racoon's eyes," he told the newspaper.

"My treatment took 15 minutes and was less painful than I expected as the area was numbed with ice beforehand," he revealed. "The bruising went down within three days and I saw results straight away."

The GP added that, whereas people used to notice the circles under his eyes, they now see the eyes themselves.

Treatment involves tiny injections of hyaluronic acid followed by a massage of the area. The effects usually last for around nine months.

Restylane is also effective for a range of other non-surgical cosmetic purposes, including lip enhancement and chin augmentation.
