Manchester women 'obsessed' with boob jobs

A strange phenomenon has been noted by cosmetic surgery provider Surgicare relating to women's breasts in Manchester and London.

According to research, it seems that women in Manchester have had almost twice as many breast enhancements as those living in the capital.

Furthermore, 284 per cent more northern females have enquired about having work done on their boobs.

And it seems that it's not just a case of more Manchester women wanting work done; the type of work seems to differ, as Surgicare chief executive officer Mark Bury told the Daily Telegraph.

"In the London area it's usually taking a woman from a B-cup to a C-cup; a normal situation for us here (in Manchester) is taking a woman from a B to a D," he explained.

But women from around the UK should ensure that if they are considering surgery that it is for the right reasons.

Mr Bury went on to point out he believed peer pressure was a factor in many cases - especially in Manchester where women may see others who have had work done and feel that they have to too in order to keep up with the proverbial Joneses.

According to the Harley Medical Group, three quarters of women who have had breast enhancements in the past six months chose only to go up one or two cup sizes.ADNFCR-1112-ID-18913263-ADNFCR
