One in ten men believe that their wife could do with some
botox, according to a new poll.
Research commissioned by Opera North questioned 2,000 married men and found that 16 per cent think their wife would benefit from undergoing cosmetic surgery.
Nearly a quarter (23 per cent) admitted that they missed the body their wife used to have when she was younger and six per cent suggested their other half could do with 'a complete overhaul', the Daily Telegraph reports.
The main procedure that men wanted their wives to have was liposuction on their tummy and over a third admitted that they were so keen for their wife to have a nip or tuck that they would happily pay for it themselves.
A spokesman for Opera North told the Daily Telegraph: "Plastic surgery is so much more on people's radars and the survey shows a lot of men do actually see it as a viable option to spruce up their wives."
However, the survey found that three quarters of men would never consider having cosmetic surgery themselves - a finding the Opera North spokesman described as "amusing".
A recent survey by chain store Debenhams found that the average British woman's bra has increased an entire cup size over the last five years.
