Ringing in the changes, and probably some ringing in the ears too!
Now that the office party is out of the way, the relatives have returned to the far reaches of Britain, and the New Year hangover is just starting to fade, we must pull ourselves together and “get a grip”.
New Year, New Beginning. Decisions need to be taken, and kept……
So where to begin? Perhaps the most obvious place is right here. With yourself. Look after yourself first so that you can then cope when you need to look after others. Take care of your body. Take care of your mind. Take care of your appearance and take care of your heart.
By this last one I don’t just mean with exercise and stuff, although that is a great place to begin, I also mean take care of your spirit. Find out how you can give back, contribute, feel grateful for the good things you have. Help someone else to feel the same.
To a fair degree it is all about caring. Caring for yourself and others. But do remember to start with yourself so you are in a fit state to care for others.
So watch what you put into your body. Watch what you put in your mind too. It is often said that you get what you focus on. Make sure you focus on the positive things in your life, of which I am sure there are many.
Simple things, like diet and exercise, and cleansers and toners not only help the physical body to look and be its best, but also help to make you feel special, important, loved.
So resolution number one, Look after/Repair skin of face and body. Prevention is better than cure but if prevention is a little too late or the years have rushed past a little faster than it seemed, then there are various ways in which a light handed touch can turn back the clock gently but significantly. Something can be done for the blotchiness, the crepey skin, the sallow look, the loss of volume in the lower face.
None of these things are dangerous, none of them involve too much pain or way too much money, and all of them can be very subtle so the husband , wife or girlfriends need never know that you have been “tweaked”. Skin can be tightened, the surface resurfaced and the facial contours reshaped. The work can be major or minor but if it gives you that extra lift, if it gives you that extra spring in your step, if it gives you that extra confidence to go out there and ‘do it’, then you can have a whole lot more fun, you can work a whole lot harder, or better still, a whole lot smarter and be a whole lot more successful. Now isn’t that the kind of New Years resolution you would want to keep?
Start your new life now. Step up and take a bow. Make the decision and make the call, it may be the best decision you have ever made.
You ARE worth it!
